Project "Yeat 2006 - Visit Kenya Year"

The objective will be to encourage Poles to visit Kenya.
To achieve this goal, following actions will be taken:
ˇ Starting all-encompassing PR action to advertise Kenya as an unforgettable country worth visiting (articles in trade press, printing brochures on Kenya, information on Kenya in TV and radio)
ˇ Convincing Kenyan Immigration Office to reduce/waive the visa fee (currently USD 50) for Poles during 2006
ˇ Convincing Kenyan tour operators to construct special discount packages for Polish tour operators
ˇ Convincing an airline to launch direct charter flights (initially at least once every week during the season) between Warsaw and Mombassa
ˇ Translating Kenya Tourist Board publications into Polish
ˇ Providing a 24 hours telephone help-desk in Polish throughout 2006 (managed by Polish-speaking KPF members in Kenya)
ˇ Kenyan-Polish Forum will assist in advertising the Visit Kenya Year 2006
ˇ Kenyan students in major Polish towns will organize meetings with Poles who have returned from their holidays in Kenya (best Kenya holiday photo, best holiday trophy/souvenir, story telling, quizzes on Kenya, film and slide shows, etc)
A number of activities, aimed to bring closer Poland and Kenya, will be an introduction to this project.

ˇ Participation of the Kenyan Runners in Warsaw's Marathon
ˇ Organization of professional tourism workshops for Polish tour operators and travel agencies in cooperation with Kenya Tourist Board
ˇ Participation in the TT Warsaw Tour & Travel Fair
ˇ Organisation of the photo exhibition presenting Kenyan landscapes, wildlife and culture
ˇ Cooperation with Warsaw's ZOO (Simba Project)
