ONLINE DISSEMINATION OF DRAFT LEGISLATIVE BILLS TO THE KENYAN COMMUNITIES IN DIASPORA

The Commission for the implementation of the Constitution (CIC) requests the Kenyan Diaspora to actively participate in the preparation on the laws on citizenship as well as other legislation in order to enhance public participation. Those interested in participating in the above exercise are kindly invited to visit the Commissions website www.cickenya.org where they can access the draft bills as well as give their comments regarding the same.

The following draft bills are under consideration and Kenyan Diaspora are requested to provide their comments through the Commissions interactive website:

• The Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Bill 2011
• The Kenya Citizenship and Foreign Nationals Management Service Bill 2011
• The Public Finance Management Bill
• The Elections Bill.
