THE TEA BOARD OF KENYA VISITS POLAND
On June 24th and 26th, a delegation of Kenyan tea marketers was in Poland to promote Kenyan tea. Among the delegates were, Mr. Wekesa Khisa - the Trade and Promotion Executive of the Tea Board of Kenya, Mrs. Jane Makori - the First Secretary of the Kenyan Embassy in Rome and businessmen who represented the Kenyan tea producers. They held meetings with their Polish counterparts intending to get new contacts and promote the world’s best tea in Poland.
The Tea Board of Kenya was established in 1950 to regulate the tea industry in all aspects of tea growing, research, manufacture, trade and promotion in both the local and the international markets. The Board also plays the role of adviser for the Kenyan government and the Ministry of Agriculture.
