Eighty-year-old Kenyan - the oldest student

Being 85 years old and having 15 children, Kenyan Kimani Maruge has never given up the idea of going to school. His dream became true in January last year, when he was taken to school in Kapkenduiywo as the oldest student in the world. Recently he was honoured in a special way. He took part in a world campaign promoting public education on a basic level. He visited New York. At first he was sightseeing in yellow school bus and then he met Nana Annan, ONZ Secretary General's wife. Maruge is one of thousands Kenyans that benefit from free education. Most of his school companions are younger but Maruge thinks that it's never too late for studying.
