THE FILM NAMED AFRICA OF MY CHILDHOOD IS READY!

On 5th December there took place the premiere of the fascinating documental film titled Africa of my childhood. The film concerns the lot of Polish people who were deported to Siberia and afterwards were freed by virtue of the Sikorski- Majski treaty and hosted by African countries. In 1942 all of them were transported through Persia to the port in Mombasa, and from there they got into camps located in Kenya (Rongai), Tanzania (Tengeru), Zambia (Bwana Kubwa) and Uganda (Koja, Nyabyeya). The people - naming themselves the Africans - share their reminiscences in this film and speak on their fascinating lot. It is worth mentioning that our organization was given honour to help in elaboration of the film.

At the beginning of 2010 it will be released in the Polish National TV. You must seee it! More details on the presentation will be given later.
