THE AFRICAN DIASPORA EXHIBITION IN WARSAW

An exhibition has been organized to take place on the 30th June 2009 (Tuesday) at one of the clubs in Warsaw known as KLUB INDEX. It is entitled 'We, the people of Warsaw!' and will present African people living in this city. Every guest will be able to view 50 pictures taken by 4 different photographers, among whom include Mr. Jacek Łagowski of the "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Krzysztof Wojda, author of pictures taken within a photography project called 'All of us come from Africa', implemented by the Afryka Inaczej Foundation. The above mentioned organization is currently launching a project which involves creating a new photo archive on the Afryka.org portal, which will document not only the African Diaspora in Warsaw, but also from other Polish cities. Anyone interested in the project can contribute by sending their pictures to the foundation.

During the exhibition in Klub Indeks, a report summing up this year's African Day in Warsaw organized within the same frames of the project "All of us come from Africa", will be presented. It is worth mentioning here that the exhibition 'We, the people of Warsaw!' has been made possible due to the financial support received from the Capital City of Warsaw.
