KENYA AND BARACK OBAMA IN THE LIBRARY AT KOSZYKOWA STR.

Together with the Library at Koszykowa Str. we have pleasure to invite you for a meeting and a debate concerning new book of Barack Obama which will take place at 4th June (Wednesday).

The Library organizes a series of meetings named "Wednesday at Koszykowa", when people speak about new publications in Poland. We were inspired by the book titled "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance". These are associations by Barack Obama, the only Afroamerican senator in current Congress as well as candidate in the presidential election.

We will present Kenyan background of the politician - we will speak about the Luo tribe, show pictures, and a Kenyan-Polish Forum member, Martin Okoth - the Luo himself - will speak about his mother region.

Besides of Martin there will be also other people discussing:

  • Andrzej Czuma - Polish deputy
  • prof. Longin Pastusiak
  • Marcin Nawrot - ambassador
  • Iwona Majewska-Opiełka
  • Paweł Szymczak - the book translator
Feel warmly welcomed!
