We would like to invite everyone interested in the diversity and uniqueness of African cultures. Each visitor will have an opportunity to explore Africa in their own way through various activities, including drum workshops, African folk dance workshops, hair-styling workshops (braids, dreadlocks) and tasting of traditional African meals prepared by the Africans themselves. The program also includes African fashion shows, slideshows, African stores and presentations of organizations which promote the African culture.

The main event will be a series of live performances by such artists as DJOLOF BAND (Senegal), YUGUS band (Mali, Senegal, Guinea), GOLD FINGER (Nigeria) and the guest star Kuba Pogorzelski. The concerts will be followed by a DJ party with the best mixes of African music (DJ Mamadou, DJ Sam).

On the following day, as part of the “Faces of Africa” film festival in the “Kadr” Ursynów Culture Center at Rzymowskiego street, there will be a presentation of unique Polish short films from the Wytwórnia Filmów Dokumentalnych i Fabularnych (Chełmska Str. 21). The shorts were made between 1965-1977 mainly in the African East (“In Kenya”, “The Maasai”) and South (“Angola”, “Saint Hope”). The screenings will be preceded by slideshows from this year’s FESPACO Film Festival in Wagadugu, Burkina Faso. The shows will be followed by a discussion with film experts. Also, there will be an exhibition of Tanzanian Tinga Tinga paintings from the collection of Dr. Eugeniusz Rzewuski, the former ambassador in Angola, as well as an exhibition of Zimbabwean sculpture from the Agharta Gallery.
