OPENING OF THE AUTHORIAL GONIA ZDUŃCZYK AND MONIKA ŁAWIŃSKA’S GALLERY - AFRICAPOINT

We have pleasure to inform all the enthusiasts of Africa on opening of a new authorial gallery in Warsaw. In Africapoint, we will see the photographs by Gonia Zduńczyk as well as an African usable art of the best quality.

The Gallery inaugurated it’s activity on April 17th arranging an exposition named Beautiful She, which presented portraits of African women. The author of the photographs, Gonia Zduńczyk, intended to grasp women’s beauty, decorated by a traditional attire and exotic jewellery. The unknown persons from the photographs, which are presented in frames made of exotic wood, create mysterious and magical atmosphere.

Simultaneously, Africapoint presents a selection of hand-made art as for example African jewellery, or articles made of leather. They unite utility with the shape inspired by African culture and tradition. The articles in principle constitute assortment either unique or made only in few copies and each of them tells it’s exceptional story. The photographs as well as the articles of hand- made art are to be bought.

Africapoint shall organize cycles of expositions on different subject matters. For example next exposition, which is planned on second half of May, will concern “child” theme.

The idea that unites all the expositions is to decorate the artistic photographs by interesting articles of African usable art.

The exposition Beautiful She is to be admired, and all the handcrafts are to be purchased until May 15th, Monday till Friday between 12 am and 6 pm as well as on Saturdays between 11 am till 3 pm.
