Who are we?

The Kenyan-Polish Forum (KPF) was established on January 29, 2004. Founder members are Kenyan graduates of Polish universities thankful to Poland for the education they acquired. Members of KPF are Kenyans, their families, Polish people and other nationalities, companies and commercial organizations interested in bilateral relationship between Poland and Kenya.
KPF is run by volunteers. We would like to invite all friends of Kenya to join our organisation and assist in KPF activities.

What are KPF objectives?

The Main aims of our Forum are to develop and sustain Kenyan-Polish friendship, assist in affiliation of relationships between our countries in trade, tourism, culture and social activities. As KPF, we support charity activities in Poland and in Kenya especially focusing on child education.

What have we achieved?

Although we are a young organisation we have achieved most of the planned aims for 2004. We organised the first Kenya Week and Tourism Workshops in Warsaw and assisted a trade mission of Kenyan delegates in Poland. We also participated in Tourism Fairs promoting Kenya. We started Kiswahili courses for children and friends of Kenya, which met with great appreciation from the students. KPF also created a business information centre for Polish and Kenyan companies.

What else do we plan to do?

This year we have obtained the status of Organisation of Public Profit. It means that members and friends of our organisation can support KPF by donating a tax-deductible 1% of their annual income tax. This refers only to individuals who live in Poland and are obliged to pay taxes in Poland. All members and friends can support us by sending their donations to our banking account.
We cooperate with governmental institutions to help businesses and the tourism industry. This kind of partnership creates job opportunities of jobs in Poland and in Kenya. We have ambitious plans for 2005 and for the next few years, which cover cultural, social and business activities. You can find more information on our website.
